Supreme location, right in the heart of SoHo...Lobby lounge is glam with music industry types and the trashy models who love them strewn about the couches. Rooms are too small for the price (starting $375), but who gives a shit. You’re in SoHo..Get out of that room! Rumor had it the Mercer was going to kill business, but that does not appear to be the case...Both are booked months in advance and host equally chic events. And the Grand is home to the ultra-faboo Caviateria, one of Debbie’s favorite haunts (champaign and caviar ...Need I say more?!)

It’s the kind of understated glamour appreciated by emaciated movie stars (Gweneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman, Winona Ryder) where they can nibble on tea and crumpets in peace. OK, I admit it....there’s nothing I love more than spotting a celeb, and if I were the stalking type, I just might lurk outside longer. Gramercy Inn definitely serves up old world charm and is the perfect place to book your parents. Rooms from $155- $200

Another Schrager venue, but higher concept. Let’s make a totally chic, totally cheap hotel right in the heart of Manhattan (hey, poor people want to be trendy, too!). The rooms are tiny, but quite glamorous just the same with high design pieces that help you forget that the closet’s the size of a pea (where to put the Monolo’s, Darling?). The lobby brings out the fierceness in us all and the bar, The Whiskey (owned by Cindy’s hubby, Randy-Dandy Gerber) pulls in a hot single crowd. Not a bad deal for a hundred and change a night ($145-$500)
