On my last visit to LA I headed directly to Frederic himself for "a new look". I heard he was famous for doing "le sexy hair thing". So if I am going to do a major chop of the locks it should be with the master of sexy hair, oui? Yes, the salon is gorgeous, yes, Frederic is gorgeous, and yes, you will be virtually ignored except for the three minutes that Frederic comes over to chop chop and snip snip. Sitting for two hours with a wet head of hair waiting for my hair to be cut by "Le Grand Master" is not my idea of a good time.
However, if you trust Frederic, he will give you exactly what you need to improve your looks…even if you were not planning on bangs! He is very opinionated. I left the salon $300 poorer and in a mild state of shock calling my girlfriend to cry into the phone at 5 in the morning. But then, low and behold, "les garcons" (that’s French for boys) loved the "new do". I started turning heads again. Got more action in one week than I have had in ages and I am convinced it was because I let Frederic "do his thing". Haircut: $290. Ouch!
