There is s small but potent lunch time shmooze scene that takes place in Boston. If you want to play with the players of Boston’s heavy hitting financial community, or at least look like you do, than where you "do lunch" is key.
Radius Dakota's The Ritz Bar
Radius
8 High Street
between Summer Street and Federal Street,Boston
(617) 426-1234
Radius is the hottest addition to the Boston restaurant scene. Open only a few months, owners Michael Schlow and Christopher Meyers are bound to hit it big with this one! If you are in the mood for power lunch scene this is your best bet. Debbie likes to dine at the "communal table for 20" where ya just never know who you're gonna meet! Be prepared to open your wallet.
DAKOTA'S
343 Summer St., Boston
(617)737-1777
Dakota's is in the Financial District. All suits working their martinis and their pasta and each other. The food is good. The service is good. And the location next to Filene’s Basement works for women looking to check out the men at lunch and do a little bargain shopping in the same afternoon.
THE RITZ BAR
15 Arlington St., Boston
(617)536-5700
This bar has been around longer than most of us. It personifies old guard WASP Boston. The wood library decor, the fireplace going in the winter and view of the Boston Garden. It is a serious and comfortable space to talk some serious business. The Ritz Bar has started serving a small, but tres chic buffet lunch that will impress and satisfy. The tables can be a bit close together, so if it’s privacy you are after, head across the street to The Bristol Lounge at The Four Seasons Hotel. It is all of the above, but with space to negotiate your next big deal. And, you’ll get to valet park for free.
